It’s easy to live in an area and never really explore all of it. I know that’s true for me. This weekend, thanks to a new copy of the Thompson Okanagan BC Backroad Mapbook I found the beautiful, tranquil location seen here.
Like most of us, I rely quite a bit on Google Maps. But there’s something about the tactile sensation of paging through an actual ink and paper book, looking at maps and dreaming of future adventures that can’t be matched onscreen. Sure, you can pinch and zoom online maps...yet it’s just not the same. Especially when your batteries run out in some remote location.
